Pregnant and Fired

Re: Pregnant and Fired

If the Catholic school gets public funding on par with public schools, then sure. Otherwise, they have every right to fire her.

Re: Pregnant and Fired

yes i know:)

Re: Pregnant and Fired

well she is wrong cause she is a woman and to Caholics women are the wrongdoers cause Eve ate the apple…:smack:
what kind of punishment will the father of the illegitimate child get? lemme guess

nothing!..it is disgusting…enough to hate premarital sex !!

Re: Pregnant and Fired

Right idea, typical paindoo sentiments. We aren’t talking about religion here armughal, we are talking about the law. I know that you want to bring religion into EVERYTHING, but stand down for a few minutes and lets talk about the law.

If this is a private institution, they can fire her all they want. But if this institution is subisdized on any level by state or federal governments, this falls under discrimination and she has a big pay day coming.

Re: Pregnant and Fired

^ It's a catholic school and catholic schools are NOT funded by the state, you have to pay tuition for it.

Re: Pregnant and Fired

I think same rule applies for male teachers as well. If anyoen finds out they are going to be a father they should get fired too... That would be a fair game... i bet all these priests would be out of job then...

Re: Pregnant and Fired

Public schools are in desperate need of teachers. I would not be crying or wasting time over a lawsuit. Just go find another school to work in. Benefits are fabulous.

Re: Pregnant and Fired

Not related to the teacher case but...

Ever noticed how the uniform of catholic schools for girls has the skimpiest plaid skirts... Top that off with knee length socks and not tights or stockings. Talk about tempting the boys then asking them to be chaste.

Re: Pregnant and Fired

^ They're not skimpy!

Re: Pregnant and Fired

^ hheheheh yes they are

Re: Pregnant and Fired

They are? 'Cos the pay is crap (in the U.S.).

Re: Pregnant and Fired

I don't blame the Catholic school for firing her. They are a catholic school, parents (pay to) send their kids to the school to learn a certain set of values, having teachers that follow those values and present the example is important and the right of a private school.

If she wants to teach at a public school she can but this is a private school...they can keep whomever they want.
