Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
Pregnancy can be tough at the best of times but if you're feeling THAT exhausted I would recommend asking your Gp to check your iron levels. I had low iron throughout my pregnancy and long after and this was despite taking the necessary supplements. I felt tired drained and sleepy all the time. Its really not a nice feeling. If you haven't already, get your iron levels checked. Hope you regain some energy soon!
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
I was the same way, infact worse with the energy level of a 95 year old in both pregnancies. I was low on iron too but the supplements didn't help. Once I hit the seventh month it did become better though !
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
Iron and also vit D. Try to get sun exposure even if it's only through a window for 5 mins a day. It will boost energy and prevent depression. Don't feel bad about rest. Hire help for cleaning if your husband is that type that he will make face that it's neglected. Trust me after baby you will still be too busy to clean room or bathrm.
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
Take your pre-natals. Walk in the mornings if you can...I know it sounds like a mountain to get up in the morning and walk but something about it really helped me.
I had really bad energy levels until I hit month 4...then I was fine. But up until then I felt like I was dropping around 7pm...as if I had been working in the fields all day.
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
thank you ladies for reassuring me.
i had the tiredness feeling in the first 3 months but was active during month 4 and 5 . now that 6 has started, i feel tired again.
i just feel bad as i could not cope with work and now i cant cope with home. there is hardly anything for me to do as mil take cares of everything.but she is a guest and is leaving next month so i worry about when ill be alone. how will i deal with a baby alone while hubby at work?
plus today i havent felt any baby movements. is it normal?
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
There are days like that...all I did was lie on my back after drinking some cold water and that helped some.
You're about 23 weeks? The movements become more pronounced with time.
As for housework and baby...take it slow...try to freeze meals right now to keep on hand if you can. Or when you get takeout, get an extra box and throw it in the freezer.
Don't worry about home for the first couple of weeks...focus on your baby and make the dude useful :)

You should be counting the kicks every day. At least once a day, lie back and count how many times the baby has kicked. It should be at least 10 kicks (movements) in our hour. If not, then you should see a doctor immediately. Usually we feel that the baby hasn't kicked all day, but once we lie back and count, it does happen.
Usually tiredness begins again around the third trimester. But everyone is different.
Sounds exactly like me. You need to have your bloodwork done. For deficinecy in vitamins. Sunds like deficient in vit d and iron. Get those up, and you will feel better. I couldnt even breathe... thats how bad it was for me.
Re: pregnant -always feeling exhausted despite full rest
I also had no energy, due to low iron.
Do they not check your blood regularly? If not then get it checked ASAP, the baby will get what it needs but you will be doing damage to yourself.
Also keep a regular check on movements, if you feel a long time has passed without movement , take an Ice cold sugary drink and lie down, this should get the baby moving, if not then go and get checked out.
