salaam girls…my son is almost 2 months old end of this month.. is there a chance of getting pregnant really this fast again if no protection. its worrying me alot…i havnt got my period back yet and im breastfeeding right now too…what is the best way to tell if i am.. can i take a pregnancy test or do i need to take a blood work done to find out ? please reply

Although you can get pregnant again but I think because you are breastfeeding that's why you didn't get your periods. Its very common for breastfeeding mothers to not get their periods. Sometimes they say, breastfeeding works as a contraceptive.

Yes, as long as you nurse according to the rules of natural child spacing. The same hormones that make milk suppress the release of reproductive hormones. While breastfeeding full-time most mothers do not ovulate and do not have menstrual periods. This means that you can't get pregnant, at least for a while. It's as if your body is telling you, "Nourishing one baby is all you can handle at the moment. It's too soon for a sibling."
So yes you can get pregnant but there is also a possibility that you are not ovulating because of breastfeeding. Trust me, its very very normal :)

^ That's true. Some women don't get their's until months after they stop nursing.
HOWEVER you cannot assume that will be the case.

U can VERY MUCH get pregnant even WHEN bfeeding… If only we could count on our fingers the number of accidental pregnancies due to the myth of not getting pregnant whilst bfeeding… Ive got quite a few angry friends and family members cuz of this misleading fact 
I didnt get my period for 8 months post delivery…even though i wasnt bfeeding.

yes you can get pregnant but there is a chance that you may not be.
do a test when you feel the pregnancy symtoms.

happened with two of my friends. younger one born exactly after 10 months 20 days and with other friend its 12 months difference.

my sister is 13 months older than me and my twin bros are 12 months younger than me.

yOu can definitely get pregnant while breastfeeding, but it's also totally possible that you don't get your period for months while breastfeeding.. I didn't get mine for a good13 months....
