So how many of you continued working out while pregnant? Any certain precautions to take - did anyone workout in the first trimester??

i am working out and in my first trimester. taking preg yoga classes and going for walks in the evening.

The only precaution I can think of is to check with your doctor immediately after you've learned you are pregnant. Unless you're in a high risk category (e.g. health complications, previous miscarriages, etc.), there shouldn't be a problem with continuing your exercise program. The doctor will most likely tell you to not let your heart rate go over a certain amount and to take it easy because overheating is bad for the baby. Other than that, if you're healthy and have been exercising, you'll most likely be told to continue for your sake and for the baby.

Alhamdulillah, I've just started my third trimester and all throughout Ihave exercised. From running I went to light jogging and since the belly is getting bigger I'm now walking as much as my body can allow me--both outdoors and on my t'mill. I've also invested in a pregnancy workout DVD which is not bad...so do as your body can allow you to and do check with your doctor first.
