Would anybody know what the best hospital in Lahore is for pregnancy? My wife is in Lahore and i don’t really want to be taking any risks!
Whether it’s private or government i would appreciate some advice and experiences…

But if you want your wife to take her case to any hospital then first she will need to consult gynecologist who does her case in that hospital. Fatima memorial is a semi-govt hospital and so far I've found it best

dont ever rely on gov or semi gov hospitals (although i dont know much abut fatima memorial)...there r pretty gud private hospitals umer hospital,sergimed,n some private clinics which hv all facilities regarding dilivery...bit xpensive....bst of luck.

Fatima memorial, national hospital, hameed latif hospital, umar hospital, saira memorial(has excellent gynecologists Dr.Naheed zamani and dr. Naila), surgimed, etc.
Your aim shouldn't be a hospital with a good outlook. It should be the one with good consultant and a good neonatal ICU to look after the baby post-delivery if needed.

ooooo I also heard about Dr. Naheed Zamani. My sister in laws went to her for their cases. I'm agreed with prototype, the hospital should have a proper arrangement and a good staff to handle any situation. I have an example of my sister whose delivery was in a private hospital, she was told that they don't have enough staff in the night hours :s her consultant was Dr. Naureen Akmal (she is a good doc though, well- experienced)
If you plan to go to Fatima Memorial then I can suggest two gynecologists:

Dr. Fareeha khan
Thanks for the list! Unless the case is complicated I would prefer to steer clear of big shot names like Shaheena Asif and Farrukh zaman who are crazy busy
Another question, has anyone noticed the rise in the number of c-section births lately? A few years ago they were such a rarity
And in most cases its the babies who are upto something like tying cords around them or being breech leading to fetal distress, or maybe its doctors and hospitals trying to earn extra from the surgical procedure
Anyone has a personal experience with Dr. Memoona at National?

i would not recommend dr rubina sohail at all at hameed latif hospital.i have been visiting her throghout my 4 month pregnancy and my experience with her was just not satisfying at all.and to top it all up she has no manners,ettiquettes,charachter or conduct....
i say this because i had a miscarriage and when i went for my check up she was very heard hearted,rude with a extemely bitter tounge.i dont know what she thinks she is?is she better n on a higher level as a person than us?because of her thinking shes superior dusnt mean she can say anything to anybody.
i really want to make everyone aware here.
i dont recommend her at all.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience angel wings, but I know 2 ladies personally who had their babies delivered by dr. rubina sohail recently and recommend her very very very highly and had great experiences with her
Also both were normal deliveries

I found Dr Rubina Sohail to be okay, but she wouldn't stop going on and on about my weight gain! Recommended weight gain is 10-15kg and I was a bit over so what?? But having had my second child in Australia with mid-wives, they did nit even mention my weight once!

hmm.....Make sure the hospital has infant ICU and Paediatric department......
i know of someone who went to umar hospital or some other hospital on jail road..........they got the baby out...but didn't have facility to treat the baby.....the parents had to take the baby to surgimed......which wasted precious time........baby died later on.

Saira memorial, hameed latif n fatima memorial are best regarding delivery,availibility of doctorz n baby's nursry(if baby gt sm prob).. My daughtr was born here at fatima memorial n due to sm problems was in nursry for 3days.. N i second proto tht chk d doctor first n thn hosp..
