It seems like all the pregnancy related stuff is asked here so i shall do the same.
I am 33 and a half weeks Alhamd, and feeling hot flashes and just hot in general. I feel like i have to drink a gazillion gallons of water, because i am sooo thirsty all the time. It wouldnt be so bad except that my mouth feels like its on fire. No matter how much water i drink, i feel like heat coming from inside of me, if that makes any sense. I leave the windows open and make hubs suffer but i just cant deal with this feeling of hotness all the time.
Are there any home remedies for this? I remember being told to have isapghol in water first thing in the morning to relieve “garmi from the inside”. I am thinking of doing the same now. The only thing that helped today was cold watermelon.
I think you mean that you constantly feel hot....want the windows to be opened, the fan to be turned on and simply go dunk in cold water...:D
due to alternating estrogen levels in pregnancy ,the sensation of hot flashes can occur....
they disappear after birth....
I am not sure how ispaghol will help this thing though...but yeah keep on taking cold beverages etc and that will help because I think thats pretty much teh only thing u can do....hopefully...:)
Niksik, i am not sure what you mean by acidity type of hot Like chipsy said, i just feel really hot to the touch, as well as feel heat emanating from my mouth. Also get hot flashes quite a bit.
Chipsy: So far, the only thing i have been doing is taking cold beverages. I feel like i am on fire.
Sheen: I hadnt thought about tukh malanga. Thanks for the tip, i will look for it at the grocery store.
It's normal to get hot flashes like that. It's supposed to last until after you've had the baby. I remember I used to wake up in the middle of the night soaked in sweat for 2 whole weeks afterward. It was gross! I felt hot ALL the time pretty much throughout my pregnancy, especially the last trimester. People around me had to put up with being cold because of me. I'd have the AC or the fan on all the time. Even in October/November, with the temperature in the minus, I'd have the windows open. Other than that, I just drank cold water. Sucking on ice chips helped... especially during labour. I don't think there's much else you can do. Everything is labeled "part of pregnancy".
