Pregnancy Books

Can anyone please recommend any good Pregnancy books which they have themselves read and found to be useful

Re: Pregnancy Books

What to Expect When You're expecting is pretty good.

For later, the baby whisperer books are good.

Re: Pregnancy Books

ok thanks i will look that one up:)

what about "Your Pregnancy Bible" by Anne Deans?

Re: Pregnancy Books

I'm currently reading "Your pregnancy week by week" and its really good. Each week as a few pages and it goes over nutritional information as well. Up until week 15 its also has in actual size pictures of what your baby looks like - I love being able to see just how big he baby is getting.

The best parts are the "dad tips" each week has something and its simple stuff like, cook for your wife today or rub her feet. My husband and I read each week together and I make him to all the dad tips :)

Re: Pregnancy Books

If you have an iPhone, there's also an app that does the week by week thing.

Also, register on www.babycenter.com. It's great!

Re: Pregnancy Books

Babycenter.com is really nice...
I liked 'What to expect when you are expecting' too.
there was another one ..I don't remember the name...I got it too late from the library...I wanted to read it but I got too busy with "nesting" and then the baby came...:D
and the book went back to the library....

For those of you who are in the US...I read about a book "Baby bargains"....I got it from the library and just went through a few sections...It really had good reviews and comparisons of everything you will need for the baby....I had gotten almost everything for the baby by then, but incase anyone is confused about what to buy and what not to,it is a good book...!!

Re: Pregnancy Books

"what to expect..." stressed me out. i read chapter one and i was done. their website has the same info so you can look it up there if u want.
i liked babycenter.com the most. their community is also super helpful.

"the happiest baby on the block" is good.

Re: Pregnancy Books

oh I love what to expect.. it's my to go book almost everday for one thing or another!

I also like babycenter.com birth club but right now I am reading too much about pre term labors and women giving birth at 23-24 weeks that I get too scared after reading all of that!!

Re: Pregnancy Books

All reading i did before delivery.... Those vooks and sites have already been ,entioned....After delivery i tried to read but it left me even more confused and depressed.... I realized then that im just gonna use my common sense and hints i get from midget.... It made my life much easier! The most i read up post delivery was for recipes ...when midget was 4 months... Tht was fun. Rest all...if i needed info ..just google.
