I always thought ladies exggerated when it comes to pregnancy and hunger but boy! does one become ravenous!!!
I know we’re only meant to be adding 300calories for the baby, - so don’t need to eat for two…and it is SO hard not to want to eat for ten when you’re pregnant…
I admit to ignoring hunger pangs
Esp when i’ve just had a meal and i’m still hungry … i am like…nope, you’ve had your fill…and i take it as the hormones playing up as opposed to some nutrition lack…
At times i’ve eaten a full meal and gone to bed…and up 2 to 3 hours at a time literally starving to death…par mea bhi dheet hu…i dont get up and eat
Now what i wanted to know is, is that wise? i mean if you’ve just had a meal, is it ok to ignore the hunger pangs? am i right in believing this is just hormones? or is it some more important signal from the old body?
And why do all websites go on about having to control your weight? That means you’re not supposed to be eating too much lest you put on too much weight? Which i understand is bad for you and the baby?
This pregnancy malarki is so mind bogglingly complex…and here i was thinking it was easy peasy lemon squeasy and baby.
women tend to eat a lot.. specially in their 3rd trimester and its pretty Normal. you should not deprive yourself. better to eat small portions of fruits and vegetables throughout the day and have tonnsss of MilK.
Pregnancy for me meant HUNGER!!! throughout the whole 41 weeks and 5 days(yes i was very uncomfortable!) all i did was eat! Esp at the beginning it was such a weird feeling id feel sick to my stomach, yet hungary at the same time! Dont ignore your hunger pangs eat until you're full, your body might need it. However try to eat healthy, that way you can control your weight gain and also satisfy your appetite. As far as putting on the recomended weight during pregnancy is concerned everyone is different, and from my experience you really cant control how much weight you gain. I ate like a pig my entire pregnancy but majority of my weight gain was in the first 2 trimesters. In my last trimester i only gained a couple of pounds. Dont deprive yourself. Enjoy your pregnancy...think about the weight after!!! lol :)
sara, your mentality will change once you experience this whole ordeal..most woman don't even care how their body will look after the baby is born, they are just concerned with baby being healthy..and thats all that counts..losing weight is hard, not impossible..keep that in mind. :)
