He was one of the most prominent Muslim leaders to support Hindu-Muslim unity, opposing the partition of India on communal lines. even Quaid e Azam was not found of him and his ideas/predictions about future of Pakistan;and called him the showmen of Congress..

Abul Kalam Azad exactly predict in 1946 whatever happened to Pakistan so far.
Re: Predictions Of Abul Kalam Azad Abt Pakistan's Future....Shockingly True!
I seriously doubt the authenticity of this interview which was conducted in April 1946. The interview was neither published in Chattan — the magazine for which it was conducted — nor it was published in any other publication. It came in black and white only in Shorish Kashmiri's own book — Maulana Mohammed Azad. Extensive personal collection of Maulana Azad has no record of this interview and neither it was published in any of centenary volumes of Maulana Azad.
Besides this interview, I understand that Maulana's theory which opposed the creation of Pakistan, is highly questionable. Maulana was the leader of the Congress delegation which took part in the British Cabinet Mission negotiations. While Mohammed Ali Jinnah, heading the All India Muslim League delegation, was in favour of a United India with proper safeguards for the interests of Muslims, Maulana Azad wholeheartedly embraced Plan of May 16 which called for grouping of provinces on religious grounds — with Sindh, Baluchistan, NWFP and parts of Punjab grouped together. Initially it was only Maulana Azad who was in favour of grouping provinces on religious grounds while Ghandi and Nehru opposed this proposal.
There is a strong credibility gap in what Maulana was preaching and what he was practising. While he fully fell in favour of British Mission Plan and endorsed proposal of bracketing provinces on religious ground, he kept saying all his life that creation of Pakistan on religious grounds is fully faulty. What he accepted in Plan of May 16, he vehemently negated that outside the plan. He wanted to keep India united with Muslims sitting on one side and the rest on the other, this was the same line Mohammed Ali Jinnah followed, but the difference was that Maulana Azad was in favour of United India and Jinnah was not ready to stay united without securing ironclad guarantees for Muslims — something that wasn't forthcoming. Congress was not ready to provide with constitutional guarantees for safeguarding interests of Muslims. Jinnah saw it clearly and while he gave his nod to stay united, he wasn't willing to do so without endorsement from Congress that Muslims will have a fair share in governance and full religious independence.
Maulana Azad, despite being the president of Congress, was not even able to get Gandhi and Nehru on his side on the Cabinet Mission Plan. Though the Plan of May 16 was approved by Congress Working Committee after a lot of internal party bickering, Nehru made his reservations about the plan public and put it on record that Congress did not accept the plan unconditionally and it was free to walk out of the accord if and when needed.
History is full of clues that explain Maulana Azad's personal grudges against Mohammed Ali Jinnah. Besides, the absence of the said interview from any credible public record and publication puts another big question mark over the authenticity of its contents.

I have always been curious about the authenticy of this interview, discussed it with some people and did a bit of research on my own. I find it too good to be true. I am not sure if we should read too much into this interview.
In fact what I just said isn't all I have observerd in this regard. We can discuss various points as this discussion progresses.

This interview may be fake but Abul Kalam Azad is not fake. What he predicted came out to be 100% true. In 1971 greater part of Pakistan was separated to from new state failing do nazaria hypothesis. Better read his book "India Wins Freedom" the new addition has 30 pages which were published after 30 years of his death. Unless you read this book, you will never understand what Kamran Khan is talking about?
