Atlantis my dear, yes the books that came b4 the quran probably may have been the word of Allah too but have gone thru alterations with time..
Its not necassary for us to follow aurangzeb & ghazni, who may have been great serveants of Islam, but not necassrily role models..Being muslims, our one & only role model should be the prophet (PBUH).
as for having rejected the star, sun , moon etc, how can u even equate them with almighty God esp. in this time & age.
we must remember that different prophets were sent in diff. eras..In the time of Moses (AS), magic was as its peak, therefore God gave him the power of being able to perform magic..at the time of Jesus (AS), people would dwell into healing powers so God gave him the powers of healing..And at the time of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) , Arabia was well populated with literary people & poets ..So God gave him the Quran.
The quran , if read properly, has most of the answers, so we need not go elsewhere..We Muslims are so fortunate to have this book.
