n ya def body exf/scrub is totally worth it :) bt if u do it daily at home u probably dnt need to get the prof one done. however getting yr massage done prof is a diff thing :p.
Nly only sugestion is don't get it done too close to ur wedding incase u have a reaction! My sis in law got a bad rash from fsce polishing from mirrors salon
mani / pedi ..... i can't do that as i won't be able to perform namaz
facial ..... i've never had a facial before but the question is: Does it REALLY make a difference , ultimately your face is going to be packed on with make-up on the day anyway so is there any real point of it ? (plz share your own experiences)
the reason i've put down body scrub as a must do , is the difference from body scrubs is amazing , having someone spend 60 minutes scrubbing away at dead skin all over your body would actually make you feel lot smoother but are the results of a facial also that obvious ?
You can still do a mani/pedi but get them not to apply any polish at the end, so at least you get the filing/shaping/cuticle removal etc. They should do it a bit cheaper too.
For me, I notice a difference with having a facial because it removes my blackheads, especially around my nose.
i didnt do facial on a big day but i used to do cleansing everynight with milk, rose water as a toner and glycerine as a moisturizer and coconut or almond oil for a massage on eye area ... this was my routine i was following 2months before to my wedding,so no needed a special facial before barat...
one important tip i would say
when you reach parlour for a makeup on barat or valima put the moisturising face( shouldnt be greasy-i used loreah hydra fresh) and any eye cream ( i used mac fast response) atleast 20mins before the makeup..if you dont have an eyecream you can do the following trick...massage ur eye with milk at night soak cotton pad in milk left this on eyes for 20mins before sleep and massage with almond oil when u wakeup and then wash ur face with anyface wash .. your makeup will sit really nicely trust me u'll look flawless IA
Remember beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin :)
1 week before the wedding I had a regular facial done. 3 Days before I got eyebrows threaded. 2 days before (the morning of mehndi), I got a mani/pedi.
I personally wouldn't pay for a "body scrub" b/c I'm more than happy to scrub mine....lol.
BTW, I'd suggest that things like facial, waxing etc. should be done at least 5-7 days before the wedding so in case the skin has a reaction, you have time to let it calm down.
I'm not getting a facial since I've never gotten one before and don't want to take any chances close to the wedding :p I am eating lots of pomegranates though! One a day..
I'll be getting a massage before the wedding, but thats only to relax and get some peace :p
^ Facials cause wrinkles over time. They are okay if you do them once a week, but no more than that. Since they exfoliate the skin, they can dry out your skin more quickly, leading to wrinkles at an earlier age.
However, natural facials, with milk or tomatoes and all that other edible stuff is usually okay! Although I don't know too much about the food-y facials
