Sara, normally parents can see the child is having difficulty, before anything like this is suggested, we go through tons of interventions to help the child. However, when and if it is mentioned, it is mentioned in a very positive manner, lot of options are discussed with the parents. Honestly, I am not sure how private schools handle such situation, I have always worked with public/charter schools, so we do get a mix of children from various backgrounds. We had to remove a child from our program as his actions were pretty dangerous for him and all of us in the class. Again, 99% of the time, we try our best to accommodate a child and meet his/her needs but there are times when have to present parents with other options.
