The Punjab govt has borrowed so heavily during this tenure, its not even funny. Just for the sake of showing an upper hand compared to the center, they borrowed through their nose, and made stupid decisions like sasti roti, laptop scheme, flyovers that get changed to underpasses after being built, and what not.
Shahbaz Sharif, while he has his good side, is an authoritarian, and doesnt listen to anyone other than NS. Thats what happens when you have businessmen in politics.

I believe that Shahbaz Sharif hasn't shown himself to be a good administrator during this tenure. Running 17 ministries like an authoritarian is hardly something to be proud of. Roads, bridges etc were made during Pervaiz Illahi's government as well. New departments were introduced like 1122, Traffic wardens, Sundar Industrial Estate, Medical Colleges, Hospitals, free medicines in hospitals etc. Now the free medicines have ended, you are lucky if you can buy them from the shops near hospitals. Crime rate has gone up, the government has done nothing to alleviate the sufferings of people due to energy crisis (other than setting up a camp in Minar e Pakistan).
Unfortunately an average person can NEVER understand impacts of this useless spending. Most of their party supporters would say "Chalo kuch kar tou rahay hain".
This is the only reason i think PTI may not be able to win enough seats to form government otherwise people are absolutely sick of current rulers. Most people will vote for PMLN MAINLY because PPP has been immensely incompetent and also the fact that PTI cannot claim how many number of bridges and mega projects they have started (Totally ignoring the fact that they have NOT been in power).
