my wife got into University of Illinois - Chicago for pre-med. i was wondering what other uni’s are better for pre-med. i come from an engineering background so i am not sure how it works in the medical field but i am sure the name of the uni matters to atleast get your first job in any field. i guess at this point the goal would be to get into a good medical school once finishing pre-med. any (ex) or currently enrolled med students out there who can comment on this?

i go to UIC; not for med school but I know many that do and I've heard nothing but great things about it. It is a very well respected medical school and from what I know one of the premier research institutes in the nation

^ NU is also a good school, know some girls who were in the communications program, and they're doing really good now... No clue about how their med school is like though.
^ i looked at their tuition fee and it is almost 40k!!!
