Hey I didn’t mean to cause any discomfort in anyway. I was just being sarcastic. I thought you would’ve picked that up. I apologize if it appeared the other way. I hope nothing bad has happened in the last year os so.

Re: Praying in Arabic?
It was narrated by Al Bukhari that Prophet Muhammad(Peace and blessings of Allah be on him) had said: " sallo kama raitomoni asalli" "Perform your prayers in the same manner you had seen me doing

Re: Praying in Arabic?
^but then one could argue that the method of prayer for men is slightly different than women's and also there are also slight differences in traditional four schools of thought regarding the prayer method[rafa yadain etc].
The best answer is only that praying in Arabic is tradition of the Prophet(SAW) and any non-arab in his era prayed in Arabic so must us.
Re: Praying in Arabic?
^ chalo app jo bhi jawab banaao ...bus namaz arabic main hee perhna : )
hadees main koi ashkaal nahi hota
four school of thoughts main jo bhi namaz ka tareeqa hai prophet say hee saabit hai
kissi or say nahi
men or women ki namaz main ferq bhi nabi nay hee bayaan kia ...kissi or nay nahi
Well whose fault is that except their own? Who is telling not to make an effort to learn enough Arabic to at least understand their own prayers, which they have been performing five times a day for so many years? Who is telling them to not make any effort to understand and reflect on what they are reciting in prayer? Who is telling them to degrade their salah to a mere physical exercise, instead of allowing it to be a spiritual connection with Allah SWT
If we would ever reflect just the slighest bit on what we are reciting in our prayers, reflect on WHO we are coming to stand before --it would make a world of difference in our lives
Good questions.
Logically speaking,
1- Arabic was the only language those days in the area where Prophet SAW spent time and hence there would not have been any question of other language. The prophet SAW and Sahabah RAA did not know any other language.
2- Speaking of Language, there is no direct ruling to recite Namaz in Arabic language ONLY.
3- One just can say that its the way we have been told to do and has been done and hence we accept it. No harm to anyone.
4- If someone feels that someone wants to pray in any other language , (very few would say it anyway) then why worry.
Someday that person will understand.
5- With Arabic being considered essential, we seem to have closed doors for other people who might very well become muslims and do the deeds in their language.
**
Is it the language or the message which is essential and important????**
Re: Praying in Arabic?
The reason we pray in Arabic worldwide is to strengthen and unify the Muslims as one community.
Example: If you travel often, and your morning prayer might be behind an imam in Africa, while the night prayer behind an imam in Indonesia. You may not understand the language that locals communicate in, but the minute you step in the mosque and rows are formed, you instantly understand what is being said and what is going on because the prayer is same everywhere in the world.
The real message of Quran is constructed within the highest caliber use of Arabic, which makes even the native arabs ponder over the Scripture Miracle that we're blessed with.
But universality, and one grand community is the reason prayer is in Arabic, and thus important to carry on as such. It's another thing that binds us together in today's world of immense divisions.
Allah knows best. I apologize for not addressing your question(s) as you had requested. But I just shared my thoughts on the issue briefly.
