Praying for what?

Prayer appears to have no effect on patients in study

Praying for someone who is ill and preparing to undergo a risky medical procedure appears to have no effect on the patient’s future health.

hmmm i think they should’ve also tried one of the Hindu gods too..

Re: Praying for what?

The prayers by representatives of Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist faiths had no effect on whether patients experienced postprocedure complications, such as heart attack, death or readmission to the hospital. But a nontraditional intervention known as “MIT therapy,” which involves playing music and administering therapeutic touch at the bedside, had a slight beneficial health effect.

Re: Praying for what?

Here is another study](http://www.corporatecrimefighters.com/html/intercessory_prayer.html)that claims

This study was published in 1999.

These kind of studies come and go. Unfortunately, the results of many studies (I am not necessarily talking about this one) are also influenced by who is paying for it. So, we should try not to believe all of them studies, hook, line and stinker.

Infact, on CNN they showed a recent study that proved that 80% of the studies and conclusions are infact incorrect, baseless and wrong. Ofcourse, that study itself is prone to be part of the 80% it claims to disparage. This is the nature of the beast.
