It happens so often that ppl goes to each other ‘mere liye dua kerna’ or ‘buss apki duaoon ki zaroorat hai’.
I just wonder how many ppl actually do that. I mean yes its always nice to pray for people but most people just extemporarily say ‘oh yes will defintely pray for you’ and ’ yaar yeh bhi koi poochnay ki baat hai?’ I mean is it just courtesy? or what is it? i mean its between God and them whether they pray for the person as asked but still… that makes me wonder if they do it just to keep in the good books and keep the relationship strong and healthy?? I have even seen people saying to others ‘hey yaar i prayed for you thats why your result was this good’ i mean whats up with that…
have words lost thier powers?
When someone asks me to pray for him/her, i try my best to remember while praying after namaaz and obviuosly for emergency situations like when someone is hospitalized, papers etc etc you do tend to recall thier names… i wanna know how most ppl here appraoch this thing..
When i used to go for Hajj and umrah etc, ppl used to say yaar humaray liye bhi dua kerna so i carried a paper with me which has all the duas written for people so that i dont forget.. i mean thats the best i could do.
when i ask someone to pray for me it doesnt mean that i expect them to formally sit down on a ja namaz and haath phela k pray for me
but i think even if for a fleeting second they think in their minds k ae Allah irem kee ye mushkil asan ker de its a prayer and it has power
and Allah kee marzi hae k Wo kis kee kon si dua sun le init
so yup i think it helps :-)

same here, i also think it helps a lot. Nobody expect that you after namaz specialy say a dua for them , You can say a dua anytime.
But i do always after namz ask for: yallah , sab ki mushkillian ihsan kar, ameen.
i also believe that God listens to people's hearts....
I just wanted to define the difference between ppl jusat saying it for the sake of it ke yeah main dua karoon gaa and between the people who actually do.....
