Praying for dead relatives

Re: Praying for dead relatives

^^ i guess, as it is said in the posted hadees that childrens are considered as sadqa jariya... so the good deeds by them ( taught by their parents: directly or indirectly) will benefit them.

Moreover, their is one more hadees saying; Good advice is sadqa jariya.
people may benefit from the advice for long time, this will benefit the dead one till the advice is acted or recited ( quoting him or not).

Now, i have not seen a single ayat of Quran niether a direct hadees saying that dead ones can be benefited other than the scenarios mentioned above.

Now Dua is something else, but i rather try to depend on my amaal to atleast get entitled for the forgiveness and rehma of Allah Subhan o tala then somebody praying for me (which is again i can only wish for but cannot garantee) ... being a Investment Consultant, i would like to have a long term investment ( advices/actions) which may benefit me and increase me Hasana even after my BOOKs are closed.

Now if our parents have passed, we can benefit them by spreading their good words out, by acting on the right guidelines they have provided us, it will surely benefit them lot more, and much longer then a single fast can....
