Mehnaz, you've been dealing with the tragedy of his illness for so long now.. seems like the end of one nightmarish journey and the beginning of another - that of healing. i'm very sorry for ur loss. may Allah swt grant him jannah and give you all the strength to cope with it, ameen.

Sometimes it is difficult for us to understand the wisdom behind Allah's decisions but they are indeed for our best interest, because Allah (swt) knows best and our mental capabilities are too limited to understand the wisdom behind HIS decisions.
Allah (swt) has put all the Prophets and saints in all kinds of pain in this world more than anyone else. Those who are put to pain more in this life would be rewarded more on the day of judgment. Only if we come to know how painful the punishment would be in the life hereafter, we all might wish to die of the worst diseases in this world, so that our sins are washed away in this world and fire of hell is not used to make us pure enough to be able to enter heaven. Allah has been very kind to her dad by giving him the easier way to heaven (InshaAllah). According to the Prophet (saw), diseases at the time of death are meant to remove our sins and purify us so as to save us from the fire of hell. ( the pain of which is unimaginably high as compared to the pain of this world).
When pain comes to beloved people of Allah (swt), their heart is also blessed with "Sakeena" (comfort from Allah) so that they are able to bear that pain, even though it might seem to us apparently that their pain was beyond their endurance. Remember, Allah (swt) when put us in pain, he also blesses us with the strength to be able to go through it. Allah promises in Quran that he doesn't put us in a pain beyond our endurance.
May Allah (swt) bless his soul with peace and comfort, make his grave a part of jannah, forgive his mistakes and accept his good deeds, and bless him with a place in Jannat-ul-firdos. May Allah (swt) bless Mehnaz sister and her family with the strength and patience to be able to go through this tough time of their life. Ameen.
She is very lucky that her father was happy with her when he left, and she got a chance to be with him and ask for forgiveness. There are people whose parents leave them while being unhappy with them and this thing never let them sleep with peace till their death. InshaAllah she would meet her dad very soon. Life is too short and we don't even realize how quickly it passes, BUT we need to do as many good deeds as possible so that our parent's soul is proud of us in front of Allah, the prophets and the angels. This is the only way we can comfort them and make them happy with us.
She is mashaAllah lucky that Allah (swt) has blessed her with a motivating factor in the form of a child, in order to me able to move on with life.
May Allah (swt) bless her and her family with all the blessings of this life and hereafter.
