how do u know when is the exact right time to read namaz when you have conflicting schedules?
My mother goes by the azaan on PTV. I look it up online, qibla.org and there’s a half hour-forty minute disparity, like on qibla it says zuhur is at 12:08 today, but on ptv, the azaan will come on at 1240…
I mean does it really matter? goin bak to my original question, how can u tell the right time? I kno for fajr n maghrib n isha its different, the proper time uc an tell just by lookin out the window, but what about zuhur n asar?
Can you please tell us first whether you are a Hanafi, Wahabi, Shia, Regular, Super unleaded or a Non-Muslim Qadiyani? You know they all have different times.
Being a non practicing muslim of Qadiyani descent I usually don't give rats a$$ as to what Mullahs say about when to say prayers, when I feel like it I just say all my prayers (usually every morning at 0500).
Oye, it's not getting the times that's difficult, it's determining what has the right time. PTV's azaan comes on a half hour later than the time table I use for prayers....
let's say Zuhr time may start at 12:08 but it can be prayed till 3:00 too. So, if mosque is organizing congregessional prayer at 1:30, the azaan in mosque might be called at 1:00. May be, PTV is just showing the azaan prayer according to most of the mosques' times.
p.s. note however that the start time for Asr in the Hanafi school differs with the method described in the link… in short, Hanafis calculate a later start time
