Hi can anyone pelase tell me the ccorrect prayer times in toronto.
the one calendar at home says zuhar time starts at 12:30, while 2 websites say 1:30. and out of those 2 websites one says asar time starts at 4:42 and the other says it starts at 5:30. i dont know wheter to follow the calendar at home, or the websites. i dont know if i can post the link to websites but i just did quick google search with toronto prayer times and checked the first two if some1 is interested in looking at the reason for the differences between the timeings of the websites.
Please help and if someone knows a prayer schedule with definity (I am Sunni if that is relevant).
^^brother the day light saving is on from today so the time for salah changed.
Fajr is around 6:20, Dhuhr is around 1:30, Asr is around 4:45 (according to Maliki, Shafi'e and Hanabli madahab) or 5:30 (according to Hanafi madhab), Maghrib is around 7:15 and Isha is around 8:35
I hope this helps insha'Allah and Allah knows best
^^yeah what u told me according to different madhabs and daylight that makes more sense. thank you. one more question? what is the cut off time for a prayer. lets say asar starts at 4:45 ..how long before that should i not pray for zuhar. is there any restriction like that?
JazakAllah khair brother AllahkaBanda for the correction.
@ carpool. According to Hanafi Fiqh, Fajr ending time is 5 to 10 minutes before sunrise. Zuhr time begins approximately 5 minutes after Zawaal (So, Zawaal is 5 minutes before Zuhr). Zuhr ends at Asr time. Asr ends 5 to 10 minutes before Maghrib. Maghrib ends at Isha. Isha ends at Fajr, but it is preferrable to pray Isha before Midnight.
^brother, I don't know about specific madahab opinions, but from what I've learned the time for maghrib is very short.
btw laypeople like us shouldn't even have to worry about different madahab opinions or look into them as our job is to ask the local mufti or imam and stick to it. So, insha'Allah, check with your local Imam who you trust the most and stick to whatever he says.
Downloading Adhan on your computer will help as it updates the times according to the Daylight Saving Time.
As far as the prayer time for Maghrib.. it is said that it is: "Soon after the sunset until the disappearance of the twilight"
