Re: Prayer threads...
Peace
I thought Muslims should be compassionate for other Muslims. Also, if a family member is ill people should know about it. If one dies others should know about it, if a baby is born or a son or daughter get married others should know about it because it helps others remember their own vunerabilities and keep on the straight and narrow. Muslims are a social people at least we are supposed to be.
These days we don't go to visit friends because they are sick and we might catch something from them, but Islam tells us to visit the sick. How can we know they are sick? If we cannot visit then we can pray for them, how can we pray for them without knowing the issue. If we can tell an Imam in a masjid that a family member is ill then why can we not call upon Muslims around the world to lift their arms up for du'a?
A web forum it is ... the best thing about the web is that it can be used for Islam around the whole world. Then why take a secular approach to it?
To add ... can we really be that miserly to not even give others the gift of a du'a?
