Mumbai International Airport has multiple prayer room located at near the boarding Gate No. 8 at International Terminal. Rumour is that at Terminal No. 2, CSIA airport provided a place for Masjid to perform Prayers. Maharashtra Govt., provided the space for Masjid at airport.
Any other source of this info?
Must be right. Prayers and meditation tons are pretty common in major airports around the world. In USA, almost every major airport has one.

Found an image online which shows multi-religion prayer room but rumour spreads that it is only for Muslims. I wonder why such info is spreaded

It is a multi-faith prayer room. But you mainly find muslims there because we have 5 obligatory prayers so there’s more chances of finding a muslim in there as one of our prayer timings could happen during our airport visits.
