Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

No. Any food which is an offering made to other than Allah is not allowed for muslims. Not just animals.
Is prasad an offering to their baghwan's? a hindu can answer properly.

The extract above appears to be only about meat IMO...Meat is discussed directly before the highlighted sentence and continues to be discussed directly after...

An offering to bhagwan means whatever we have is because of God including the most important food. This is the symbolism behind it though many hindus themselves are not aware of it. of course there will be idols (usually).

ITS HARAAM SINCE THE FOOD WAS IN NAME OF ANOTHER GOD / IDOL, ANYTHING WHICH THE NAME OF OTHER GODS EXCEPT ALLAH ALMIGHTY, IS NOT PERMISSABLE TO CONSUME. AND THOSE WHO HAVE MADE THE MISTAKE TO CONSUME, IT IS FORGIVVEN FOR THEM, IF IT WAS UNINTENTIONAL, BUT AS A GOOD GESTURE TO NON MUSLIMS ITS A DUTY FOR THE MUSLIM BROTHER OR SISTER THAT THEY TELL THE NON MUSLIM THAT THANK YOU FOR WHAT THEY ARE OFFERING BUT ITS NOT PERMISSABLE FOR THEM TO TAKE AND CONSUME, AND IF THE OTHER PARTY , IN THIS CASE IS WISE THEY WILL UNDERSTAND THAT ITS NOT PERMISSABLE FOR THE MUSLIMS TO NOT CONSUME THAT OFFERING.
