Re: Praishani ki baat...

unkil dont need to worry it could just be palpitations

i will tell you what they are palpitations are the awareness that your heart is beating forcefully, rapidly, or irregularly. There often is a feeling of "skipping beats" or "fluttering in the chest." They can occur in normal healthy people, as well as in people with heart problems. Palpitations can be very frightening. But most palpitations do not indicate underlying heart disease. If you are having palpitations, there is a good chance that nothing is seriously wrong.
Normally, people do not notice their hearts beating. But palpitations are common in everyday life and can happen to anybody, regardless of whether the person has an underlying heart abnormality.
Usually, palpitations do not last long. They are more likely to happen as you get older, although young people can have them too. Often, the cause of palpitations that do not require medical treatment cannot be determined.
A variety of painless tests are available to help your doctor determine whether or not you need medical treatment.

Re: Praishani ki baat...

Respected Sir!

AOA

I wish and pray that you are hail and hearty. I dont want to create any panic but whatever you have mentioned, it is better that you must go to a doctor and get your ECG/EKG done at the earliest. You should know that a lot of things can mimic heart trouble and vice versa. The symptoms you just mentioned can be because of any of the following (in lay man's language);

  1. Heart Trouble
  2. Stomach Problem
  3. Indigestion
  4. Physical Stress
  5. Mental Stress/Anxiety
  6. Problem in Neck (Muscular or Bony)
  7. Spasm (contracture) of chest muscles etc etc.

I agree that most of the problems listed above are benign but what if??? So if you have any of the following, take it seriously;

  1. Male Gender (which you are)
  2. Smoker (I presume you are)
  3. Over Weight (or heavy build)
  4. Family history of Heart Trouble (I guess not)
  5. Family history of Diabetes (which is positive, mind you heart trouble can behave very insidously and at times without pain in those with Diabetes)
  6. Over 35 years of age (the name Uncle says it all, btw in my clinical practice, I have come across a 28 years old healthy and physically active male with a Heart Attack)
  7. Type A personality (ambitious, hard working and worry-some) etc etc.

Pleas dont settle for anything less than an urgent ECG. Please go see your Doctor. Till then start using half a tablet of Disprin, dissolved in water once a day. Dont wait and get your self checked ASAP.

With a lot of prayers foryour health and longevity.

Wassalam.
