2 test matches is all it takes for my Paki friends to change opinion about a player.
As somebody on STAR TV was quoted as saying about Akhtar ..."Kuttay ki dum........"...and I still have a feeling Shoaib would ultimately prove this age-old wisdom right.

the fact is that he played his heart out and gave an incredible performance in both games .. he did all the little things and showed the commitment.

He is talking to other bowlers in the team, he is bowling long spells, he is not giving out any idiotic statements (yet!); what more can you ask for? There were never any doubts about his talent and ability as a test match cricketer.

n e wayz, shoaib has been amazing, just love his commitment, he has always been a thinking bowler but his ability to bowl long spells was not there, now he is doing it!!! especially the slower ball is back! 1 more thing his agression is good to see i dont want 2 c shoaib akhtar bowling 95+ bouncers and going back to his run up, have a look and a few words also with that!

And the best part is how other team members have accepted him back whole heartdly. I saw every one hugging him and ESPECIALLY Inzi hugging the living shnitz out of him. That clearly shows that all the differences are almost erased. I really hope for the sake of Shoaib that he keeps this best side of him up as long as he can.

Many of us like me never had any doubt about his on the field abilities. Others were irritated because of his so called controversial off the field activities. I know its difficult for you to understand how they can change their opinion about a player, since you have example of Agit Agarkar infront of you and you can’t even imagine of chaging your opinion about him. But still none of them thought that he is Pakistan’s Agarkar. You need to understand that Agarkar doesn’t belong to Shoaib’s class.
