Re: Practical Life.
its boring .. so true .. I still miss my student life .. even though once you leave university, you will never have that fun joining it again for masters or something else. practical life is monotonous 9-5 (for most people). and then tired or busy with family. it depends how do you pull off your nights and weekends. I stil manage to do lots of stuff but even then .. student life FTW
Re: Practical Life.
It feels like that in first few months then you become part of this rat race called practical life.
Re: Practical Life.
Its as boring or fun as you want it to be.
Re: Practical Life.
Enjoy singlehood while you can :)
Re: Practical Life.
Being an adult in the real world does suck a lot. You have to do things you dont want to do, so just smile and nod...everyone else is!

^ This. At the end of the day....its upto your as to whether or not your life is "boring". "Fun" doesn't happen on its own.
For me, I have had (am having) more fun as an adult then I ever did back in my student life. B/C as an adult, I am in control (don't have to answer to parents), and also actually have money to spend instead of always worrying the cost (this also gives me a lot more options for events/places to visit).
Re: Practical Life.
it is boring. i still misses my uni day. :hinna:

lol, im having a lot more fun in masters than i had during undergrad...undergrad there is like pressure for marks, grad school is just about learning.
practical life can be fun if you are doing what you feel really passionate about. It is also nice to have some salary coming in - then you can spend money on the food you like, buy whatever you like..lol (when i first had my real job after undergrad, it felt so amazing bc i didnt have a lot of responsibilities and i could buy anything, eat whatever i want, even take my friends out for treat and stuff..). But yah, the 9-5 routine can be a terrible thing if you are not doing what you really love.
Re: Practical Life.
Nothing compares to the days I was at uni, but hey I enjoy the 9-5 drill and get to meet up with my mates in the evening/weekends. Maybe because Im still single.. possibly once your married and your friends get married it will get boring?
Re: Practical Life.
practical life is not BORING it's DIFFICULT/ HARD actually :)

yup...life isn't bed of roses...BUT, it can be as difficult as you make it out to be OR if you have set the bar of your needs too high...qinaa'at pasandi tamaam mushkilaat kaa Hal hai...[qinaa'at pasandii = desire to be contented] :)
Re: Practical Life.

Re: Practical Life.
seems like i'm the only one to hate student life. actually it depends, i spent 2 years in the UK and they were the most fun i ever had, but only because studies are pretty easy there, i was so relaxed and even bored so i had a lot of time to do other things and have some "me time", whereas where i live, we are put under so much pressure and we do NOTHING else but studying and revising or crying out of depression lol, and we have awful hours, like 8am to 8pm on certain days, it's torture.
i can't wait to work.
Re: Practical Life.
Your practical life = your job? If you have a boring job, then yeh, it will be boring. If you have a job you enjoy and get a lot of of, then it may not be 'fun' but will be interesting and challenging. The rest, yes, you will be spending a lot of it doing practical things - cooking, cleaning etc but really it depends how lazy or not you are and how best you utilise the rest of the time.

i know so many people in my family who work but take the time to travel and do some activities with their family/husband/wife, but i also know some who make a lot of money but don't even have the time to spend it.

Re: Practical Life.
Practical life has its own aspects which have always attracted me, e.g. more financial independence, being able to support my family etc. Yes, it can be boring if you don't like/ enjoy your work. If you truly love what you do, your practical life can be very exciting. Yes of course, we are not young enough to engage in immature acts and bachpana which obviously make our student life more fun. Other than that, we all have friends and we do enjoy our life even if we are busy in our practical life.
