PPP's support in Sindh

Kamran Shahid did a program in Larkana the other day, people were of the view that they’d vote for PPP doesnt matter if they work for them or not. Ideal situation for PPP, they dont need to do anything in the province. People before the elections used to say why PTI is not focusing on the province.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

Mitha mano ayahyee pur taleem ji khot ayahyee!

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

Its not all about taleem ji khot, its about lack of trust on other parties that gives PPP leverage.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

If people can come out for Imran khan in Karachi, then it is really a pathetic excuse that ' oh jee, no wun has our trust '.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

There is a hell of difference between MQM and PPP. MQM's reputation during time line has gone down the gutter due to policies of terrorism and extortion by Bhai ruling from London. MQM Shia supporters have also been target of killings by their own leader. Hence PTI got the votes of MQM normally people voted for them. PPP on the otherhand may not do much work for Sindh, but they are also not involved in heinous crimes where MQM is involved, makes PPP much better and superior party than MQM, not stuck to Sindh only.

The topic has been discussed zillions times. Sindh has no other choice but to keep on electing "andhon main kanay rajay".

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

**Sindhis have no other choice. None has other than PPP leaders have gone in rural areas, even to talk about their problems of hunger, poverty, health, supply of clean water and education. There may be other choice for them, the Sindhi nationalists and separatists parties perhaps people of Sindh don't want further breakup of the country, hence PPP is the ideal choice not only for local population, but as for whole Pakistan.

***As regarding your sarcastic remarks about lack of education, tell me what middle class educated MQM party has done to Karachi and urban areas of Sindh? At least there is still tranquility and peace in Sindh rural. You are always welcome whether you speak Sindhi or not and get all the respect and welcome in their mud houses.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

There is a reason Qaim Ali Shah is the CM, PPP will get vote from interior regardless of PPP does anything for them or not, and everybody knows Qaim Ali Shah will not do anything, so they are basically feeding each other that way..

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

Leaders are reflection of their people.

Even Allah swt doesn't help those who don't help themselves. As long as people of interior Sindh keep the Bhutto curse restricted in their little villages and towns, who cares? We'll talk when people of Pakistan show a remote interest in voting fake baby Bhuttos.

On the flip side, we should really appreciate the fact that political awareness and activism is increasingly spreading in other provinces.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

There is no competition in Sindh as people don't feel that they need one. Bhuttos have become like saints to the locals, and they'll keep voting for them in the foreseeable future. This is bad news for Sindh as they will not reap benefits until PPP is compelled to work due to threat of being replaced by someone else in case of poor performance.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

Mustafa Kamal at least made bridges and highways and during his time, monsoon flood damage was immediately cleaned away. Tell me, what has PPP done for interior Sindh heck even larkana? There are letters in dawn where people are pleading that sukkur is rotting away which is not surprising considering the fact that PPP has done not much for their 'nine-zero' Larkana. Like altaf or not, Mustafa kamal was some administrator for Karachi.

Re: PPP’s support in Sindh

Hopefully, people would some day come out of the psychological, social, economic, political and religious slavery of landlords…

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

To be honest he destroyed Karachi for creating dangerous structures and bottle necks in the traffic. These flyovers made life miserable. Instead of spending 500 Billions on these fly overs, sending millions of pounds to Bhai in London, he should have created subway/underground railway system and introduced public transport on the basis of western developed countries. However these structures did not prove to remedies to target killings, batta, extortion and all kinds of henious crimes committed by the party.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

But at least PPP would have done some thing some thing for their own home - Larkana as others did for some thing for their stronghold.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

Keeping people underprivileged, backwards and illiterate is PPP's strength. One, they remain socially and economically dependent on landlords. Two, PPP plays blame game accusing 'others' for misery in rural Sindh.

Re: PPP's support in Sindh

I think there should not be an excuse for Sindhis to continue to vote for PPP even when they have got nothing. There are others like pir pagara, or PPP shaheed Bhutto, for example.

I would really appreciate if someone could explain how a common Sindhi middle class or lower class person has benefited from PPP government. All I see is the waderas using ethnicity card to win votes of common folks while racking the benefits of being in government all my themselves.
And yet common folks continue to be fooled by them. Or may be they pare not being fooled but being forced by the landlords to vote for them.
so what is it?
