PPP willing to offer PM slot to Imran: Wattoo**
OKARA: While Imran Khan is drawing huge crowds on his campaign trail, a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) predicts that his party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could form the next coalition government at the centre. He also foresees the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz as coalition partners in Punjab.
“The PPP could also offer Imran Khan the office of prime minister in the coalition government,” Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, the president of PPP’s central Punjab chapter, told The Express Tribune in a candid interview on Sunday in Okara where he was on a campaign trail. Wattoo is contesting the May 11 elections from three constituencies: NA-147, NA-148 and PP-188.
“If Imran Khan plays his cards carefully, his party can bag more seats than PML-N in the centre,” he said. Manzoor Wattoo, whose party successfully completed its five-year constitutional term in office, predicted a ‘hung Parliament’ as a result of the upcoming election. He believes no political party could win a simple majority, either in the centre or in the provinces.
With writing on the wall getting clearer with every passing day, PPP has started to work on its survival plans. I understand that IK will outrighly reject this offer, but we have yet to see how he will react if such a coalition becomes the only option to stop Noon League from coming to power.
On the other hand, we could be 100% sure that the Noon League won’t waste even a single moment to form a coalition government with the PPP if it becomes the only way to stop the PTI from assuming power in Islamabad.
hahaha, like PPP has this power to "offer" the PM slot to anyone now
the only power they got right now is trying everything to delay the election along with MQM and ANP.
these 3 parties are going to be biggest losers in this election, Noonies will also lose many seats, but they are likely gain some as well, and they are likely to somewhat remain in power in punjab, but PPP, MQM and ANP will have to let go some seats,
They are not in a state to offer anything to anyone except offer their masters (read USA) to try and delay the elections, by doing as much bomb blasts as possible and kill their own people (read qurbani kay bakray) to make an excuse.
PPP wants to save some grace by offering this. if some coalition has to be formed with PTI in the driving seat, i think it would be better with PMLN (that if the sharif's and ch nisar let go of their egos).
by the way, on a side note, this is going to somewhat validate noon leagues stance that PTI is playing as B team of zardari,
It can very well be an effort by PPP to harm PTI's reputation in this sense
also i dont think USA will tolerate anyone in govt who can hamper their exit from afghanistan and make it more disgraceful for them. They abandoned Pakistan and ISI after having their revenge of Vietnam and Soviets imminent exit from Afghanistan, now it’s time for someone else to take revenge, sort of…
**PTI-PPP coalition is the height of ridiculousness: Mazari
**
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Dr Shireen Mazari on Monday expressed surprise at Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Watoo’s statement that PPP would “offer” Imran Khan the post of prime minister in a coalition government with PPP.
"Such an absurdity should not be coming from senior PPP leaders who are deliberately playing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) game of trying to discredit PTI. The muk muka between PPP and PML-N continues in yet another form,” she said.
Perhaps some gupshup has been released as a news by a journalist .
No PPP source confirmed it
However I always say
Imran aur Zardari donon aik hain
Imran say Zardari qadray naik hay
Not out of possibility , However you can also count it gupshup
Here in capital
possibilities under discussion
Plan A ; No election
Plan B ; Hung parliament
Both desires are foolish but 'they' are trying .
Spot on and it worked. I was talking to some relatives back home today and they were in fact saying how Imran and Zardari mille hue hain. They went onto say how some of Imran Khan’s campaign’s posters had a small picture of Zardari in one corner. Lol how is that even possible? I wouldn’t be surprised if his opponents are also printing out fake posters. Man, politics is twisted.
