NAUDERO: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Benazir Bhutto said on Tuesday that political dialogue could take place between her and the Gen. Pervez Musharraf, as he was going to doff his uniform.
She was talking to journalists after chairing a high level meeting of all wings of her party at her Naudero residence. Benazir Bhutto made it clear that her party did not boycott the forthcoming elections in country with a view to not to leave the political arena vacant for the government.
To a query, she said political dialogue could take place between her and Gen. Pervez Musharraf as he was going to doff his uniform as per his promise.

She has realised she no longer has the support of the masses in Pakistan, and is likely to disappear into 'irrelevance'. :)

You could well be correct. After her miserable reception in Punjab, she is probably coming to the reality that her support is only limited to certain area's now in Pakistan i.e. interior Sindh and Lyari, and that people don't really support her elsewhere. Hence, she is back wanting to talk to President Musharraf to get a lift into power.

After her miserable reception in Punjab, she is probably coming to the reality that her support is only limited to certain area's now in Pakistan i.e. interior Sindh and Lyari, and that people don't really support her elsewhere. Hence, she is back wanting to talk to President Musharraf to get a lift into power.
So you agree that the coming elections are basically selections in all 'Pakistani' means. Another dubious act of Shahnshah jahanpanaah.

So BB has got the last laugh. Poor NS. She got Cheif of her choice, all charges of allegations dropped, a potent judiciary removed and a president who will support her over NS.
NS and IK can goto hell with boycotting elections. The selection has been done.
So much for Musharraf’s honesty. Deep rooted, some ppl said in 2002 election that Musharraf is working on shaping PPP to come back into mainstream (which was wiped out by NS in late 90s in Punjab). Mush has played the same politics which others are doing, so whats the difference.

yeah but i think ppl have wisened up to that and she is not going to have that much of an ability to do that. someone may just pull a Zia on her otherwise

BB has to get votes from Pakistanies before she gets a seat in the parliament. Pakistanies will vote for her with all enthusiasm and fervor. Whom are we to blame? Mushy/BB? I don't think so.
Mushy is ok with sharing a piece of the pie (American Paycheck $80mil/mth) with everyone as long as he holds the strings. Nawaz/BB/Chaudries..same sh!t and we'll vote for them too.
