This is very good that Waheeda Shah is facing . It should be a lesson for others but when matter comes to others ,all is changed .
Right now what the PPP leadership is telling her is that her crime is not slapping the polling station attendant, but getting caught. She should not have done it in front of cameras.
If there were no cameras involved, this would have been swept under the rug, and we would have had the woman sitting in as an 'elected representative'. Its fairly similar for others who dont get caught, and get away with murder.
PPP is brimming with such goons, and we have plenty of documented evidence from the past 15 years or so. God knows how much undocumented stuff there is.

Positive decision in the right direction but in my opinion, 2 years is a very less period. She should have been banned from next assembly altogether at the minimum or even for life would have been perfect.

Why ECP declared the election null and void? It should have simply awarded the seat to the runner-up.

Such people do not belong in the party of ZAB,BB, Aitazaz Ehsan, and more.

Punishment is too mild. Two years only? Is this a joke or what. She should've been disqualified to hold any public office for at least 10 years if not permanently not to mention fined monetarily. Watch now, like the ex-Fin Minister, and the other chap who were disqualified by SC, she'll be appointed special advisor to PM or President with all the perks. Talk about throwing dust in peoples eyes.

Monotonous robotic response as usual. I didnt know that there was a national PPP, and then there was a Tando Adam PPP. Are they 2 different parties? If she is a bad seed, and doesnt belong in PPP, then why hasnt PPP rusticated her from the party, instead of defending her crass actions?
Feudal nature of the party will never change unless people like Waheeda are removed, and police officers such as the one who stood by and watched are taken to task. The poor polling station attendant was so fearful that she was actually defending the actions. People are expected to believe that.
