**LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party Punjab chapter says it will try to lodge a case against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif over the death of patients owing to alleged reaction of free drugs.
**“We will not only try to get a murder case registered against Sharif being a health minister but also demand his resignation over the loss of precious lives,” PPP Punjab deputy parliamentary leader Shaukat Basra said.
Talking to Dawn on Tuesday, Mr Basra said it had been a gross negligence on part of the chief executive of the province who was not ready to take responsibility of the deaths.
He said the chief minister had made a team of his ‘favourites’ which had failed to deliver.
SS had taken unnecessary burden on himself by keeping several ministries with himself.
will PPP file such cases against their relevant Ministers like Petroleum Ministry for the mismanagement of affairs leading to closure of industries which caused financial murder of many families.
I really do not doubt the capabilities or intention of SS, but the problem is that (i) he does not trust any one other than himself (ii) he does not believe in team work
Both of these things are required for better management, the province has grown a lot during the past few years, but by ending the local body system things that were reaching the province upto the council level have dis appeared and then Shahbaz Sharif holding more than 10 ministries, which is not humanly possible. The power should be devolved but on the contrary in Punjab its highly centralized, thats the reason for mis management there.
This is like the wild wild west shoot-out....and seems like both PML-N and PPP-Z are going to die out while trying to take the other down.
Shahbaz Sharif is a one man show, which is dangerous and wrong. One person does not have the ability to run multiple ministrys, even if he is qualified. And in this case, SS is not even qualified to run the health ministry, so I dont know what he was thinking.
Mubashar Lucman is saying over 170 have died, and the Punjab govt is not handing over the dead bodies until the people give an affidavit that the people did not die from the fake medicines.

SS is a sincere administrator but he does not trust his own party members and handling around 10+ ministries which is not humanely possible. He must delegate dont you think? It cannot go on like this! No need to maintain a brigade of ministers like Federal one but at least delegate some important ones (like health) which does require specific attention. Even Dost khosa (PML N interim CM) has voiced similar opinions
