PPP-PMLN fight between Punjabis-NonPunjabis?

I wouldnt say MQM is the only ethnic party. ANP, BNP, Jiye Sindh etc all have a distinctly ethnic support base. When you say you use MQM as analogy however, do you mean to say PML is analogous to MQM? I would've thought you'd be trying to make the opposite point, as you go on to make. Lets be honest, the gratuitous MQM reference is just a device to start the usual party-bazi back and forth.

Dude, PPP hardly won ANY seats in Punjab in 1996. It had a grand total of 20 seats out of some 300 in 1996, and look at where it is today, not to mention the elections before 1996, they swept it.

Zardari's performance will make sure PPP goes down the crap hole in the next elections.

So you're saying in future PML may broaden its base again, just as PPP recovered. I hope they do. However the question is why are current events seen in the Punjab light, primarily because of their past of using the punjab card (a reputation they have struggled to overcome) and their present electoral confinement to Punjab.
