Aitzaz ready to represent PPP in Bhutto case
SUKKUR, April 4: Renowned lawyer and a leader of the Pakistan People’s Party Chaudhry Aitzaz Ehsan has said that the reference sent to the Supreme Court for reopening the case of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is legally justified and any case can be reopened by the apex court.
He said that if he was asked to represent the PPP in the case, it would be an honour.
Talking to reporters in a reception at Sadhu Bella here on Monday, he said that the Bhutto case had not been reopened before and it was to be decided by the Supreme Court if it could be heard or not.
Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira and other leaders of the PPP, who had come here from Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto to proceed to upcountry, attended the reception hosted by Mukhi Eeshwar Lal, a leader of the Hindu community.
