As far as I know, its only the MQM that goes around murdering people...
Yours is less a political party and more a organized crime syndicate.
Even some of your Mohajirs have come out against you and your Quaid.
So yeah, there is an actual difference between a real political party and the like of the MQM. No double standard there.

technically back in the day folks supporting ayub khan did that big time, later in the years jiye sindh did the same. MQM followed suit and with foreign involvement took it to a new level. agencies of course had the factions fight it out .. net loss was and is for the people of karachi.

You dont own Karachi buddy... And the Army did deal with the MQM in the 90's if you recall, and practically brought the MQM to its knees.
And as of now, you wouldnt be in power in Sindh if it werent for the Army...

Yes but MQM has taken it to a whole new level... They are still suspected of extrotion, assasinations, and god only knows what else. There whole existance in Karachi is akin to a mafia.
Its not surprising, what other party claims an entire city s their own?!?! Not only do they claim it, they also fight anyone who they percieve as a challenge! This is no different from typical street gangs!

I don’t know if someone said that earlier in this thread but let me say that.

Its a bitter reality that MQM has 14 seats in NA and so many (don’t know the number) in Sindh PA. No one can touch that no matter what anyone says.

PPP knows that, PML knows that. They need those members to be their partner. Without MQM, they cannot form a govt. in Sindh.

They give a bull to Imran's proposal in APC that no one should ever form a coalition with MQM, ever again

As a matter of fact. Ahsan Iqbal (PML-N) said (during APC) in an interview in London (and he wa sitting next to Imran on ARYone show) that if MQM changes there way of doing politics then we can form coalition with them

This "if" is a loop hole that PML-N created up front. Have you ever realized that every one was against MQM after 12th May but none of the parties brought that (such an ethical and moral) point up as a clause and only Imran brought it up.

Politics in Pakistan is a game where people kill their brothers (e.g. Murtaza) and hug the murderers of their fathers. It’s a shame game people

MQM has 18 seats in the National Assembly plus 6 Senators. It has 42 MPA's in the Sindh assembly.

dont take me for an MQM supporter, it was poor planning on govt side to have supported haqiqi against altaf group. they should have cleaned house then. the people of Karachi dont seem to get a fair shake from anyone..statements about them from certain previous prime ministers are a testament to that.

I thought MQM and PPP were mortal enemies?!?! I mean Benazir literaly brought the party to the edge of oblivion in the 90's...

Its true I guess, politics makes for strange bed fellows...

(Though if you had to pick bed fellows, Benazir is probably the most pleasant one to be in bed with:D )

true... not in the same way, but the reason for the support many people gave to MQM early on was because they felt that other parties did not really bother about them and were not looking out for their interests, maybe it had to do with statements fo some leaders or how karachi was treated under certain regimes. I know many people who voted for MQM teh first time around and now would vote for anyone but them.
