I would not like that they make deal with anyone.. politics in Pakistan is too polarized and fragmented.. no party bags enough votes to make a srong govt. therefore alliances are made..

Mush must have asked PPP to talk to its danda group in Karachi. After all they did do the dirty deed on his behalf in May and now the wardi wala is desperate to hold on to power by joining hands with PPP.

Why do we forget our history.

  • NS criticized BB (PPP) and swore he will never sit with traitors, what are they doing today?

  • NS & BB both criticized Mqm and condemned their policies, but both formed coalition govts with Mqm.

  • Imran Khan called BB & NS as the most corrupt leaders ever, today he is forming political alliances with both against Mushy

  • IK was Mushy's biggest suppporters

  • JI was in Govt with Zia-ul Haq

  • JI supported Yahya Khan

Politics does not have room for moral outrage, its politics.

so the desperation for power must be on both sides, for him to hold on to it, and for PPP to regain it.

and sadly it seems that either way they either have to cut a deal with MQM or MMA.

Mush is probably trying to make an alliance consisting of PPP, PML Q, MQM and Fazlu while PML (N), PTI and Qazi will join forces in elections.

Once Hazrat Umar (ra) swore allegiance to the Prophet (saw), he did not keep switching sides. Don't compare him with Pakistani politicians.

i guess to be friends with MQM you have to trash them about a bit first.

^ there is one thing to have one dimensional view of MQM and its workers, other is to glow about genocide. Most of those people who died under PPP and military were innocent, women and children who had no known political affiliation.

sure. i know people who died during the stupid campaign in Karachi, and while you may try to paint me as gloating over those killings, Im pointing out MQM's hypocricy for on the one hand claiming to defend those people while being in bed with both PPP and the military.

when someone twists an issue to make a political point is pretty arguable MWAP. im sure I could level the same accusation at you now, that you are trying to make an overly emotive characterisation of the violence to further your political perspective.

mentioning that MQM is in bed with the two forces behind the 90s campaign against Muhajirs is not gloating over the event.

nobody is twisting the words, just read your statement. It clearly says that party that suppose to defend people of muhajir decent are in bed with military who killed their own people, also with party that carried out the operation. This is not pointing out hypocracy because during that time they had the alliance with PPP. It was after operation they broke away from the government.

dude, im saying they're forming the alliance NOW, while they already have one with the military, BOTH of which they have already known to have been behind the 90s campaign.

Now it might have been gloating, if I had said that haha MQM got their asses handed to them etc etc. Or if I wasnt even a Muhajir who lives in an urdu speaking mohalla in Karachi.

Now, since we speak of using something like that to make a political point without compassion, shall we speak of you taking my very dispassionate mentioning of the violence against muhajirs, characterize it as gloating, and start talking about women and children? Do you think people havent used women and children to make emotive political points before you?

You need to read my post. All I said is that it is one thing to have one-dimensional view of a party and its workers, which is clear on this board. Other is to bring these incidents, where no one is either right or wrong and use it to make a political point.

I guess your hatred for one party is making you not see for what you actually wrote.
