Divine intervention or not, does it change the facts on ground? Moreover, u r only validating my point when u say Mohammad was a political leader. Thats what I am saying. By the same token, Umer was a political leader too. Whats wrong in comparing him with today's political leaders? It is alright for u to make comparisons that make him stand tall against our politicians yet it is blasphemy when I point out this historical fact to u? Am I only allowed to make favorable comparisons?
Lastly, u don't have to rag our politicians to illustrate ur point about Umer's greatness and so on.
I agree with your point regarding Umer not needing any ragging of political leaders/chorr of today.
You still do not comprehend the difference btw religious beliefs and those of political nature. To say Umer was motivated by political ambitions such as those that drive politicians of today is wrong simply because Umer had no political goals, his was a divine conversion and once converted served the Prophet and his Allah with great conviction and never wavered or changed sides. Can u say that for these political parties/leaders who change loyalties like the changing seasons.
