PPP was the brainchild of the Bhuttos. It still had some good and sincere leaders, but on the grass roots the party is nothing, and is corrupt. The thing that united them was ZAB and Benazir, and with those two gone forever, it cant ever be the same political face ever again. Musharraf always wanted a PPP without BB, now he finally has one, and he can pull all the strings now.
Again, I think that you are not giving the PPP enough credit. The PPP has to survive, if only to show that pakistani political parties can endure without being more about their personality than their policies.
