I don't believe Party Loyalty played enough of a role in pakistan in the past. We have Personality Loyalty instead, where voters and party members devote themselves to a strong individual instead.

I believe that's the case primarily beause political parties in Pakistan do not have primaries in which competing party leadership can hope to achieve party nomination thru intra party and national input. I think unless the party charter changes radically or if the party's face change is one which most find abhorrent (such as i Zardari becomes Chairman, I think no one really likes him) than people would continue to support that party. After all but for a few persons who support an ugly, murderer don of MQM, most partyvoters did change their loyalty. Only a few remain glued and lickspittles of the cult of ALtaf.
