Hold your horses… it wasn’t a meeting. Shahanshah-e-moazzam ne darbar lagaya tha. Shahzada bhi wahan maujood tha. Us darbar mein sirf saltanat-e-hind ke halaat pe darbariyon se pooch ghach ki gai thi aur maal-e-ghaneemat ka hisaab kitaab maloom kiya gaya tha.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) spokesman, Farhatullah Babar has denied any party meeting held in Dubai.**
In a statement, Babar said some party leaders called on Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai, which has been named as a ‘meeting’.
According to reports, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari jointly chaired a high-level consultative meeting held in Dubai on Saturday.
In the meeting, the party threatened to launch a robust public agitation if the federal government continues with its “campaign of retribution and vengeance’ against it, its leaders and the Sindh government”.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Ahmed Shah briefed the meeting on the current political situation of the country.
Yousuf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Sherry Rehman, Syed Khursheed Shah, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Faryal Talpur, Aitzaz Ahsan, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Rehman Malik, Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Naveed Qamar, Syed Akhunzada Chattan, and others attended the meeting.

One of the Sindh government’s most important departments is being run from Dubai. Let this sink in a minute. Yes, the affairs of the works and services department are being managed by the minister, Sharjeel Memon, remotely from Dubai.
According to official sources, Memon, who was given the portfolio in July, has hardly attended his office and convenes all the department’s meetings in Dubai. This means that the department’s employees travel to Dubai each time he wants to meet them, with their travelling and accommodation expenses paid for by the department. Talk about lack of funds.
“The minister has been living in Dubai for the last three months now,” said an official of the department. “Recently, he convened a meeting where the chief engineers of his department went and briefed him about development schemes. The travel costs, accommodation and other expenses were paid for by the department from public funds,” said the source, who wished not to be named…

PPP meeting in Dubai decides major reshuffle in Sindh cabinet -
KARACHI: A meeting of People’s Party leaders in Dubai, chaired by Asif Ali Zardari, has decided about major reshuffle in Sindh cabinet, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to sources, former provincial minister for local government Nasir Shah will be awarded the food ministry in the new Sindh setup. Manzoor Wassan will be relieved from the additional charge of the food department and he will remain the minister for mineral development.
The meeting also decided to give the local government portfolio to Jam Khan Shoro and rural development and public health engineering department to Ayaz Butt.
The PPP meeting also decided to add an advisor in the provincial cabinet. Senator Maula Bux Chandio will be made provincial advisor for information and senior minister Nisar Khuhro will be relieved from the department. Khuhro will remain the education minister.
Mukesh Kumar Chawla will be given additional charge of the minorities affairs.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah-led PPP government in Sindh blamed for incompetence and bad governance in the province. The provincial ruling party after recent debacle in local government elections in Badin district also facing criticism from the party’s rank and file.
