Writing the letter is not an issue. With immunity, the Swiss govt will not respond, so Gillani can easily write the letter, and still ‘defeat’ the SC verdict in principle.
The issue here is not the constitution, which Gillani and co are happy to contravene in just about every matter, but will not touch in this case.
The issue here is Zardari, who has a stranglehold on the party and dictates everything, and has very likely threatened Gillani with consequences.
