My son is 3, will be 4 soon inshallah, and I want him off diapers at night, and it proving to be such a nightmare
He pees in the bed every night( I haven’t been putting diapers on for about a week now), I woke him up and make him pee at night but he still pees in wee hours of the morning. Please share your tips how did you pp trained your kids for the night.
I have told him nicely and firmly to please call me when he wants to pee, but he forgets (my poor baba), and nowadays he just doesn’t want to wake up and change when he pees in the bed he sleeps in those wet clothes and doesn’t get his proper sleep as well.
Happy to report after 2 minutes of starting this thread I went to take him for pp but he just peed, I guess when I was writing the msg above he was peeeeinngg PLEASE HELP.

why? He is not even 4 yet. He is just a kid. Let it be.
Is it going to make any difference in his personality 15 years down the road whether he got off his diapers at age 4 or 5? I think you are creating a project for yourself that is not at all required.
i trained my twins for day time diapers off when they were 3 but let them in their diapers for night cuz it was quite difficult for them nd for me as well to take them to toilet for pee after ever two hours in the night time...i knw all kids r different...one of my cousin's daughter could keep her dry all night even when she was 3 but my twins are not good in this thing
I pp trained them for night when they were 4 yrs old cuz i could feel that they were ready for that and it is much easy when kid is ready himself...
i think ur son is not ready yet so i suggest jus leave the idea for night time daipers off for few months at least
dont think that ur child will confuse cuz i did the same thing as u r doing now i tried their diapers off when they were 3 but i couldn't manage so stared pull ups again and they were fine with that...
best of luck
thanks for suggestions, after last last first pp incident, I put the diapers on again.
It was difficult to potty train him as well, he didn't quite get it until he was about 2 2 1/2.
well.. its at the stage where its unclear who is training who. she gets us to do all kinds of things as ransom for parking her butt on the potty, but most of the time, she’s just faking it.
use protective plastic sheets to protect the bed. make sure he doesn't drink an hr b4 he goes to bed. the day my kid drinks pop sure to pee in bed. my daughter who is soon to be 3 is also going to bed without diapers. we take her to washroom once in middle of night or sometimes around fajr time.
however she gives us sign each night by whimpering, making small sounds or moving restlessly. whenever this happens my hubby n i make sure she goes to washroom asap. there she pees n go back to sleep. but some nights accidents do happen esp if she drinks plenty b4 going to bed.
Id say leave the pull-up/nappy on during the night.... let him ween off himself.. if you start noticing a dry nappy 2-3 days in a row, then take it off completely and take it from there.
I didnt force munchkin to get up in the middile of the night to pee.. i take her at night before she goes to bed and then once in the morning... same routine during the training period, but id leave the nappy on until i started noticing the dry nappies...
Ive heard girls are a bit different to boys though, not 100% sure...
also, ive heard boys get trained a bit later as well.. 2 is early even for a girl to start toilet training.. !
