Does Army Chief enjoy unlimited, unwritten, over the Constitutional powers?
Does any one have any information regarding it?
Is their any Secret Act with-in the Constitution?
Is Blue Book just provide general guidelines to run the country or their are some some secret powers to designated individuals?
Mr. Ganja fired two army chiefs when he was teh PM, I think one of them was Jehangir Karamat.
Don't seem to be the case, except lot of noise by every wannbe politician and pin every evil on the uniforms.
Oki here is the deal, lets not take this thread into politics of ganja or BB. We all know and feel, Chief enjoy some kinda special status, by force or other means.
Their was a article by Ikram Seghal (Defence Journal) in Jang few months back, that Army Chief has the power to excersize unwritten powers. He can authorize orders or create law by writing down them .. Wallah-o-Alam !..

If Shri army chief enjoys such powers how did Ganja managed to kick out two army chiefs in his short miserable rein? You saying that Shri army chief was dumb not to exercise his unlimited powers? bery bery strange! may be Shri Jehangir should consult with Ikram Segal and file a law suite against ganja in Lahore High court. :)

Again you are missing the point, its up to Army Chief what he wanted to do? Make sense? Lets say their are really such a rules or power existed? Will rest of nation should know about it ? or only few power brokers?
Their is secret act in constitution, some says it just regarding secret document or state secrets,..
I don't believe this gibberish Army take over the country with man power, with just 600000 men !..

What you are saying, I take it as "conspiracy theories" and just one of them... PEROID... The rest is all noise. The constitution of Pakistan is available on the net the rest is all mobo jombo, the example of Shri Jehangir Karamat was the top up.
According to Army Act , Army Chief has the power to take any independent Act whic he feels is necessary for the Survival of the Nation, Which also include Throwing off the Political Gov or passing emergency laws.
Though Any Act taken by Army Chief Will be of the Temporary nature & It cannot constantly stay intact, Even though it will be the Army Chief who will decide the Time until that particular action will stay intact.

Constitution of Pakistan & Constitution of Army are two different things, though in normal circumstances the Army follows the Constitution approved by Parliament, but when Army sees that if a particular Action is not taken , it can damage the Nation or the Security of the Nation is in danger , the Constitution of Army gives an Army Chief Power to Take all the necessary Actions, even if they are against the constitution.

I hope it helped.

Thank you Champ, the red words are same i read in Defense Journal, now here is the new dimension from your reply:
President Musharraf pass the 3 Nov emergency orders as Army Chief, now only the Army Chief can repeal them. So government has no authority over it, hmmmm..

Nope SA, these are not conspiracy theories at all, that's why i quote references in the starting, its like words were slipped from the people.
FYI, their is Secret ACT of constitution and it never published. Everyone took oath on it !

The time of an action is decided when it is taken, for example if any Chief imposes an Emergency then he will have to tell until when these conditions will remain intact, or on fulfillment of what conditions will these action will be canceled.
i know it is bit technical but i can elaborate it in more detail if you want.... ?

Further elaboration will definitely helpful, Thanks in advance !
^^OK Here we go, ill take an Example to make it more clear.
For Example , if General kiani now feels that this Nation is going through a very hard period, This may damage its Status or its Sovereignty, he might throw This Gov off & impose an marshal law, but then He will have to tell the NSC(national Security Council), that Marshal law will stay imposed untill New Elections are held, or Until The Crises Pakistan is facing are over, Now if the Crises are over & Gen Kiani is Still the Army Chief & he Does not object any thing then the marshal law will be removed automatically , & if he objects it then he will have to give a solid reason Y it shouldn't be removed.
Now on other hand, if Gen kiani is not Chief anymore, & the Conditions are fulfille the marshal law will be left if the new Army Chief has no Objection with it. ( this Clause is there, if due to some Reasons the Army Chief is unable to Continue his Duties)
^^ Thanks, i brought this topic up to show the people, everything is not going to work according to their will. Guppies can disagree, they have right to disagree and present their opinion. But in the end reality is totally different, nations don't run by emotions but by solid institutions, and the army is only which stood by the test of time !...

I am doing Research on Defense for around five years , it kind of hobby of mine to know every thing about Pakistan Army, & most of my family is also in Army so i hear Many thing from them too. Since these kind of Regulations are not Public so it is not possible to Quote a reference.
but still if you want o see the reference see the past actions taken by Army Chiefs, you will see the similarity automatically.

^Interesting, by the way, is army act a public document?
[/quote]
NO it is not a public Document, but all the Parliamentarians& members of Senate are aware of it, When ever a 4 star General take oath he take it not only according to 3rd Schedule of Constitution, but also according to the Army act.
