[[[ Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

**So i happen to pass through one of the villages in Southern Africa and this is what i saw,

Kids filling up their empty bottles with dirty/filthy street water, to use as drinking water, as can be seen, one of the kids is drinking that water.
**

Should’ve shot more sad n touchy pics but unfortunately my phone battery died.

Sad.

This place doesn't look bad for a village. You know, paved roadway/sidewalk and cars. etc.

in South Africa

thats how the villages here look like, actually its the outer part, like an entrance, its very dangerous to go inside most of the villages.

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

did you go inside any village

This doesn't show poverty. I can actually post pictures of kids in Brooklyn playing with fire-hydrant water and drinking it as well.

:S thats sad

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

yup plenty of them, even lived in some…

**those kids must be clowns then or trying to be funny… comparing poverty in africa vs the poverty in america???

Don't get me wrong. I did not mean to imply that there isn't poverty in Africa, or other parts of the world for that matter. I was just saying that those pictures don't depict poverty. There's no need to start posting pics, such as u did, to prove your point.

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

LOL! kids drinking ganda paani, drinking water thats leaking out of gutter? isnt it poverty? Some would rather die of thirst than drinking that water.....

Tofi: I agree to some extent but you still can't tell the truth. Maybe they were doing something which only Prince-Ali might know while those of us living in countries like US/Canada might not see it as we were not there when the pics were shot.

hmm :(

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

The point i was trying make was that unless the graphics are conclusive we cannot make a positive decision on what's going on. These graphics DO NOT make any, so I can contest their relevancy to the topic.

I'm still not negating the poverty in Africa but posting pics which do not have any conclusive evidence are not right. I'm sure there are much worse pictures the people can post from Pakistan and India.

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

exactly :k:

**i saw them drinking that water, is it poverty? who would drink such filthy water for fun, and it was normal for the locals there, ppl survive on such things there…

How so?

Re: Poverty in Africa, pics shot by me ]]]

I agree but he also provided explanation in his first post that go along with the pics. If he is telling a lie, that's one thing but he mentioned in his first post that these kids were filling bottles with dirty water, not to take shower with, not to wash their car with but rather to drink it. How many of us want to do that or consider this 'standard'?

Ama yaar, the only point i was trying to make is that looking at those pics, with the nice cars and paved roads it doesn't prove anything. I'm pretty sure Mr. Ali didn't stop to ask what they were doing. Kids are pretty innocent at their age and would drink anything available. Maybe he should have gone and questioned their parents who were neglecting their kids while they were shopping in a mall around the corner.
