Potty training!!!!!!!

I really think that with babies and toddlers the hardest trials parents face after sleepless nights has to be potty training without a doubt!!!

My daughter will be 2 1/2 in a weeks time, I was intending to potty train her after ramzan so in August but a recent water infection she had got us going accidently. It is going fairly ok so far, been about 2 weeks so far. She pees on the toilet straight onto the seat no seat adapter(i have one but she doesnt like it). My problem is her poops! She pooped once on the toilet quite by accident really and got really scared when she saw her poo in the toilet bowl. Same thing happened when she pooped in her pull ups she saw it(I deliberately showed her after reading a lady did this to encourage toddler to poo on toilet) but she kept saying “i dont like it mummy” lol
This last 2 days she didn’t have a bowel movement and i kept telling her she needs to tell mummy no poop in pull up thats yuk etc today she did a bit on toilet and again freaked out and just wants me to wash her ASAP to come off toilet and rest she finished off in her pull ups later…lovely! Lol

I didnt have her siblings scared of poo so not quite sure how to help her overcome her fear of it. I have told her its not scary everyone goes poo poo its not scary its good to go poo poo. MashAllah she speaks a lot and understands what i tell her and can talk very well so I don’t know where I am going wrong.

Any advice would be great, maybe someone had similar experience. Also i want to have her in normal girl pants so any accidents she can feel discomfort rather than pull ups all the time but only thing is we have carpets in lounge and hallway stairs, We pray in lounge so wee wee there is going to be problematic well anywhere with carpets really. I wish we had consistent warm weather or i would stay in the garden with her.

Advice please!!!

Re: Potty training!!!!!!!

I almost just funished training my 2.5 old as well. He also wouldnt poo poo in toiler initially or just do tiny bit n save rest for diaper. But he wasnt scared. Its just he dint wana do it.
I ve heard all kids do it initially. Just be consistent. Keep taking het for poo. Eventually she ll start doing it. She just doesnt want to do it in toilet. My son was same. Even niw as soon as he is done he wants to be washed. Jyst keep putting her on seat for poo. I think it took 3ish days for mine to get used to doing poo in toilet.
All the best.

Re: Potty training!!!!!!!

Have her sit in the toilet after every meal and reward her for successful poop with whatever she likes! Positive reinforcement and encouragement.
