Potential Rishta options 2

Here is another rishta option

Brother and sister from one family marrying a brother and sister from another family

A crossover rishta

Is this similar to two brothers marrying two sisters in it’s pros and cons?

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

Such weddings have taken place in my family. All of them have worked well.

A similar case is there is my neighbours. Both marriages have been successful but both sisters don't get along as dewarani & jethani.

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

this is where the nand is also the bhabhi
other thread is for sisters being devrani jethani :)

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

oh sorry !

you are talking about watta satta.

I thought you were saying that both marriages are taking place at same time (and I thought that was the difference ) silly me :smack:

well watta satta marriages are the most dangerous. Such marriages have given deadly & toxic results for ages.

a big NO !

dont like it. if one of the relationship is on the rocks there are spillover effects on the other one too.

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

lol @ watta sattta .. :D

serious note: its risky!

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

I dont like this intermingling of so many rishtay...gives me the creeps. :(

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

I know of one situation like that. They're decent people, but I dont know if I could ever be okay with it (personally).

nah!!

dont want my in-laws to become my family members

There is someone in the family whos sil is her bhabhi…the poor girl couldnt say anything about her ‘susraal’ when she visited her mom as her sil was there in her own home :hinna:

There shouldnt be the same people in both the houses…where is a girl to go and rant

another story…
1 bro & sis married into another family of bro & sis…couple 1 got divorced…forced couple 2 to get one as well but they didnt want to…lot of tension & drama
the poor girl from couple 2 didnt go to meet her parents for years as they said if she comes to visit us we wont let her go back to her husband (since her brother is divorced so she shouldnt have any contact with the same family)

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

Too close for comfort.

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

not too keen on it

ahan, I agree!

My dadi and her bro married into the same household and she decided she didnt like the guy and never went to his house so both couples ended up getting divorced and this happens a lot. I would steer clear of a situation like that!

Re: Potential Rishta options 2

watta/satta is totally illegal as per the Women Protection bill.

it's also haraam as per my knowledge,.. but oh well..

:D

Sure Thing :)

how can it be haram ???

i think you are very mistaken here ..Come on be logical

No it is not haraam at all, but extremely unwise thing to do.
