I have a question , why are we being quoted in dollars ? when the price and costs are made in pakistani ruppees , you are in pakistan and the money even is paid out in pakistani ruppees , if i send money to you through western union money transfer pakistani ruppees will be paid out , and same goes for transactions through bank.
With the whole changing exchange rate it wouldnt be fair to be charged in a foreign currency ! sorry but i am really not getting it and i am majorly confused !

While inquiring for the price - You can write there to quote you price in PKR. If you do that, the price will be quoted to you in PKR for sure.
I quote it mostly in DOLLARS or GBP because its convenient for the clients living there, else they have to convert the money themselves.

@mary_poppins....I am glad you brought the point of different currencies up,'cos that confuses me too.sometimes the cost of GBP is sooo much higher than any CAN$ or US$,and it's without shipping.Now I always ask for pkr with a view to get my relatives to send it.I also have a budget that I have to stick too,otherwise who wouldn't want to have a free hand and buy any outfit.

UDC studio charges US $350 for this outfit which is 29,400 PKR.
Whereas if you order this to me, i'll make this for 22,400 PKR.
Same amount of work on it !!

Thanks mary_poppins- that was the most helpful review. Her prices are ridiculously high. She posted a replica on another thread which I thought was nice so I checked out her website and wow- the prices are outrageous. And I agree $200 for that peach piece is too high.

There is one lady on this forum which is selling the embroided fabric which pathans are selling in local markets at very low prices. and people are appreciating her as if its all branded and orignal ones :/

There are definitely some who compromise quality but I think a bunch of us have good experiences with some designers that provide quality fabric, quality kaam, and quality tailoring- I know I definitely have some very good pieces from various designers.

I have bought fabrics from FB before and the quality has been excellent,and a reasonable price.
I don't think the lady you are referring to is actually selling these cheapo pathan suits.She said that is what other designers do.We the buyers don't always know what sort of quality it is we are buying until we get the suit.

I agree.. but the thing is that there are 3 categories of chiffon itself :) crinckle/grip etc and then how much grams is it for! But i am glad to know that you're satisfied with those stuff which you bought, because these days there is alot of ppl who are doing fraud!!
Anyways . :) i just wanted to share the pictures of my work with all of you here :)
I emailed her once inquiring about a design....the price she quoted me was, to put it delicately, eye-gougingly expensive.
secondly, even more outrageous, was her refusal to reduce the kaam, she kept saying "no sorry it cannot be done." wth? sorry that's a major turn-off. if u can customize sizes/colors u can definitely customizet he kaam to the client's needs.

But Yes, if they are really heavy formals - then i can always reduce the work of it . So that every client of mine can afford it :)

I always allow my customers to customize any dress to their liking. Add/remove sleeves, change colours, shirt lengths, bottom styles, or anything else they don’t see fit.

The problem for me is that you are claiming to have made outfits which are blatently not yours! eg in "DRESSES WHICH I'VE MADE COLLECTION 5, last outfit on page 2 "you have a photo of an outfit produced by a well established GS designer Cyma. you've done the same in DRESSES WHICH I'VE MADE COLLECTION 3 where you've got an outfit producd by "off the rack" that u are claiming to have made!

Ma'am , the ones which you're saying are yours! i've removed them ! It was sent to me by a designer and she claimed that it was made by her and she can provide me the same if i get orders on it.
As far as mehnaz's outfits are concerned - i've uploaded em in the designer category aswell as in dresses made by me. Because i've got orders on them :) and will upload pictures of them aswell SOON ENOUGH! :)
Mehnaz's work is nice, so every 2nd designer is using her pictures like they're using of hsy/nomi ansari :)
If we can make the same outfit! the why not for lesser money?

I never claimed that they are mine :) i always tell my clients about the real designers name and then tell them the price difference !! :)
