I have a problem, maybe genuine or gizz maestro could help?
I have I think 20 icons on desktop
On the left I have normal icons and on the right part, some special programmes I use . But It gets reangered every time I start my comp up 
I tried moving some around and then refreshing the desktop but mine don't move back. If you right click anywhere on your desktop, point at "Arrange" and in that sub window, the only option I've clicked is the "Align to grid", nothing else.
Yup Shikra is bang on target. The desktop properties, make sure Auto Arrange is turned UNCHECKED, and Align to Grid is checked.

GIZZY when i was going thru this thread i was in a “flowery” mood 
so i liked the ones with flowerz and urs were a bit techie innit, but urs r nice too 
umm how do i do that … u kno save it
^-- MSL: Press on the 'Prt Scr' (Print screen) button on the keyboard. You will find that button at the top of the keyboard. next to the F12 key. Press on that button, then open any Image editing programme and Paste the image there. And save it. :-)
Thats it. Phir you can edit the screen dump or post it here as it it.
if u r asking to save the desktop
then its simple !
just press the “print screen” button while u can see ur desktop with no windows opened
then open “MS paint”
and press Ctrl+v or paste it there
and then … save it and post it here
