Hey. I am not one of those people who put on a lot of make up or have experimented a lot with different cosmetics. After wedding, all brides have to keep dressing up for quite a number of days. I dont want to have a heavy red lipstick kind of look but a natural one that can blend well with the dress and the gives the dressing up impression but still does not make me look weird.
Please post here names of brands or codes of make up that used in combination give a very natural look.
I know of Luscious Cosmetics - Natural look make up bag that has the appropriate eye shade, lipstick, blush on, base etc. to give the natural look but i want to know of any experiences of natural look you had tried and achieved. Please do mention the:
lipstick brand/shade
Blush on brand/shade
Base
Eye Shadow brand/shade you used.
if you could paste pictures .. it would be of much help.thanks!!
Basically, this is what i am talking about .. they might actually have a lot of make up on but apparently it gives a very natural look!
Go to the makeup counter and ask for their advice, try on different things, they will help you choose things that suit your complexion best and will help you achieve the look you are going for
Yes i live in Pakistan, and hardly any make up counters here
Hey Eastern!!! Nope still haven't got married, still a few more months to go .. ill upload pictures when i do so. Whats up with you? Any tips regarding my topic?
DD, that type of makeup is purely earthen tones and neutral colors. Brands like Etude and Medora carry those colors as well.. sandy beige, allure, sis are some of the earthen tone names..
One light shade lipstick that i totally adore is by Medora in a shade called Walnut (Matte). Its a goldenish brown with golden sparkles in it but its a matte so its not over the top. I love this color for every day wear.

Hey Daffy, where in Pakistan are you? As others have suggested its more the shades than the brands itself. That said more foreign brands have lighter shades than Pakistani ones as lighter shades suit fair complexions. MAC is a good brand and is avaialable in Pakistan though the variety is limited. You can go to any big make up store and ask the store assistant to show you light shades for natural make up. They are pros at it!!
We would love to see the pics after your wedding. How is teh weight loss going?
Hi , in a similar dillema as me ! It took me ages to discover the true natural dressed up look on me ... but it eventually happened ...
Choosing your skin matched foundation ( matte , not shiny or shimmery ) is important.
All your make up will need to be one or two tones higher then your actual skin shade , but not any higher then this.
The blush has to be just a touch up and dont cover your cheeks with it , like we normally do when we use blush ..
the lipstick , make sure its matte, even if its shimmery , it has to be light pink shade .. which normally goes well with the natural makeup .. Dont use any lip pencils
The eyes come the last , I just use some light pale pink or rose pink shade on the lids in a thin line and then even thiner eye liner and lots of masscara .. Eye liner usualy only to shape the eye, and mostly focus is towards the outer end of the eye rather then the inner bit ...
