I need to ship approximately 10 sarees from Karachi to the US (namely, Texas). What is the best way to ship (ISP? DHL?) How much will it cost? And how long will it take?

i guess there are packages for 5 kg and 10kg parcels from karachi for DHL..you can check at any of their oputlet.
i use pakistan post for my parcels. they deilver in 6 working days

DHL is horrible and overpriced. Use Fedex. They have a 10kg box which might cost you around a 100 bucks or less.

i've also heard of OCS on GS. it's supposedly cheap & reliable. have never used it personally, though.

You should go with only International services like (FEDEX, DHL). They will cost most, but you will have guarantee of delivery. !

i have not experienced any problem with pakistan post yet during last 2 years.they have an urgent mail service ums-delivers in 6 working days.. and a registered post one which takes 3 weeks and is cheaper.
OCS is cheaper than dhl though.

fedex usually charges 40-60 bucks for 3-4 outfits. how much is pakistan post?

Packages sent through Pak Post have electronic tracking numbers too. Just got a package in from back home, with a scannable bar code on it!

the price for fedex 10kg which was originally 6,200 pak rupees is now 11,200 and for 25kg its 19,800. Thats way too expensive... :(

the tariff is on their website..16% taxes additional.

i sent a parcel to USA. 6 formal suits weighed 4 kg.they charged me 3900rs at pakistan post
